Concluding 2025

As the year 2025 comes to an end, we have also entered the final phase of simularr. In November, we took part on the Pixxelpoint festival Nova Gorica, showing one of the most iconic artefacts of the project, the Rogues, as well as introducing the project at the accompanying symposium.

Also in November, the proceedings of the symposium Forum Artistic Research: listen for beginnings were finalised and published on the Research Catalogue. The symposium had been held at the GMPU Klagenfurt in collaboration with simularr which contributed its set of research questions. Meanwhile, the call for the 2026 edition has been put out!

The last milestone of the project now is the preparation of its printed publication, the Manual of Simultaneous Arrivals. It collects perspectives from the past three years, with contributions by many authors in text and image. We also plan a digital variant that takes sound and moving image into account. Fingers crossed and stay tuned!
